R & I took a trip down to L.A. last week to celebrate Christmas with our friends there. We had a blast spending time with them like always. They live in the Venice area so obviously we spent a lot of time there.
Venice beach is such a unique place crowded with unique people. Everything feels alive there, even the walls. Almost every wall is covered with beautiful graffiti designs, which make them the perfect background for some epic shots!
Besides the many cool cafes and restaurants splattered along the waterfront, there are also little kiosks selling delicious pretzels, hot dogs, pizza, soft serve ice cream and my personal favorite, Mexican style spicy fruits!
You can’t take more than a few steps in Venice beachfront without bumping into a street artist. From painters to singers to exotic performers, Venice beach has it all!
There are also about a hundred shops and little kiosks where you can buy California style clothes, skate boards and hand made items. You can find really cool hand made stuff and artistic pieces.
Since our first visit to L.A., R & I found a little gem that we visit every time we are there. It’s called Blossom Vietnamese Restaurant. It is located on Sunset Blvd, in a really hipster-ish and cool area. Personally, I can’t leave L.A. without having there Dungeness Crab Pho and a cup of Vietnamese coffee.
If you haven’t had Vietnamese coffee, well my friend you are missing on a lot! It’s freshly brewed coffee with a decent serving of condensed milk! You can have it either hot or cold (I prefer it cold ). It is incredible!
As we were walking to Blossom, we stumbled upon a pop up vintage market where I bought these beautiful pieces for a great bargain! Gotta love vintage markets right?
If you are in L.A. you gotta visit the Los Angeles zoo! It’s pretty big and awesome! They have every animal you can imagine. From gorillas to elephants to tigers even the majestic rhinoceros! I was a kid again amazed and excited to see those beautiful creatures. I also got the chance to take a selfie with a giraffe!
L.A. never ceases to amaze me. There is always new places to see and new things to do. I can’t wait to see them all!
Venice Beach is so fun! Beautiful photos.
