Wine Tasting Weekend in Napa

It’s becoming a sort of tradition for R & I to spent a couple of days in Napa on Valentine’s day. I mean, there’s nothing better to do on V-day (or any day really) than drinking wine, napping in the afternoon and having amazing food, right?
It helped that there perfect weather in Napa last weekend, warm and sunny, with just a couple clouds that painted across the clear blue canvas above us.  DSC03588

Spring has come early to California, the fields were filled with yellow flowers and the trees were booming. Absolutely perfect scenery if you ask me.IMG_9094On our first day, we visited some of our favorite wineries. Including the beautiful castle of Domaine Carneros, where we had a flight of bubbly and a cheese platter to start of our day.

I’ve been loving flower prints this season, from my mama’s hand me down silk shirt to my V-day (night) look, it’s been all about flower details.  I saw Lauryn from the skinny confidential, wearing a similar dress and I knew I wanted something similar for a day of wine tasting in Napa. Thankfully I found this dress at my local forever21 just in time for the weekend and for fraction of the price (even though I still have my eyes on this one).

The dress made of light cotton like material, great for a warm Spring day like this one.

It’s wrap around, with the perfect amount of leg showing slit! The front is a little shorter than the back, giving it a some dimension. The flower print is big enough to catch your attention without being overwhelming.

This dress is so versatile, appropriate for day & night, with flats or heels. Your choice!

It’s just one of those dresses that are easy to put on. Whether for brunch or drinks, it’s a guarantee that you’ll look great in it.

Between tastings, we would roam the estates with a glass of wine in our hands, discovering the blissfully quite vineyards. You can’t resist admiring the beautiful Napa sunlight, it’s like nowhere else in the world. The golden rays and yellow fields, make for the perfect photoshoot lighting.

IMG_9064After a few great wine tasting sessions, we clinked our last glasses for the day as the sun was starting to disappear in horizon, toasting to many more valentine’s days like this one.

If you ever find yourself one day in Northern California, make sure to spend a couple of days in Napa. It doesn’t matter the season, Napa’s scenery is always magical, it will surely whisk you away.

How did you spend your Valentine’s day? let me know in the comments (because I’m nosy like that).

The giveaway has been updated, it’s now open until the 17th of March 2016, if you haven’t entered the draw yet you still got time.

XoXo,

Tamara
