Lancôme My Parisian Cube Shimmer Palette – Spring Collection

Lancôme has recently launched it’s dreamy pastel Spring 2016 collection, and it’s absolutely gorgeous! Filled with beautiful gentle colors, it’s every pastel lover’s dream. From eyeshadow, to blushes, to nail polishes and more, the latest spring release will whisk you away to a blooming Paris, thus the name “My Parisian”.

What really caught my eye from this collection, is the shimmer cube eyeshadows and highlighters palette. Inspired by a Rubik’s cube, it’s like nothing you’ve ever seen. Lancôme has successfully reimagined makeup packaging in the cutest way.

Not your typical palette, the shimmer cube palette looks like a colorful box of Parisian truffles. The eyeshadows/highlighters are each in a separate removable cube. Like little dice in a beautiful etched tin box.

DSC03763Included in this beautiful palette are nine shimmer and luminous pastel cubes. Some of them are intended to be used as either eyeshadow and highlighter, but frankly almost all could be used for both. Because they’re not extremely pigmented, you could easily use them as blushes as well. The best way is to swirl your blush brush all over the palette to get a beautiful pink pastel cheeks and an illuminated face.

The eyeshadow/highlighters are buttery and blend beautifully. You can easily layer them to get a more saturated look. If you’re looking to take things up a notch further, you can always use them with a wet brush (learn how here). But note that you’re not gonna get a fully pigmented color from them. They are intended to be more sheer than opaque. They’re not the greatest eyeshadows if you compare them to others, but they’re the most amazing face highlighter/blush/illuminating powder I’ve tried.

The cubes are definitely much more metallic than shimmer. You will see no glitter, but instead a gorgeous sheen finish. The colors are absolutely stunning and perfect for a fresh and luminous spring face. You can create a variety of soft and glowing looks with this gorgeous palette. I recommend using a dewy foundation as a base to get a complete radiant face. You can even use them to highlight (ever so slightly) your collar bone!

This palette has really stole my heart, from it’s outstandingly innovative and adorable packaging, to the colors and luminous finish that it gives. The Lancôme My Parisian Shimmer Cube Eyeshadows & Highlighters Palette is a must in every makeup fanatic’s collection. It will make a beautiful gift for a friend, or a as a personal treat (you deserve it!). It’s a limited edition release so hurry up and get your hands on one before it sells out.
