Pom poms & Tassels

After a week, and what felt like eternity of freezing cold weather, it was finally warm again in the San Francisco Bay area. Though I can see the charm of a cold day, tucked in under the covers with a book and a hot cup of tea, I’d much rather be out and about in the sun & the warm weather.

Now that it’s warm again, everyone seemed to rush outside to soak in some sunshine (Californian’s need their sunshine!). Being trapped in the house during that stretch of horrible, horrible weather, was such an unimaginable experience for all the sun loving San Franciscans. I couldn’t wait to grab my things and go work in an outdoor cafe.

Since it felt as if spring is back again, I couldn’t wait any longer to unwrap my newest ASOS parcel. I saw this incredibly vibrant embroidery clutch while on a late night online shopping spree (those happen quite often) and I absolutely fell in love with it. Even though it’s out of my comfort zone, this clutch seemed such a prefect accessory for spring and summer!

I’m truly loving embroidery at the moment (remember this gorgeous dress?), and I’m not the only one. Spanish style embroidery is huge nowadays in the fashion scene. Also, pom poms and tassels are the “it” styles at the moment. From handbags, to shoes, to jewelry even clothes, multi colored tassels and pom poms are everywhere!

When it comes to seasonal fashion, I tend to not make big investment. Chances are that pom poms  and tassels will be outdated soon. And let’s be honest, this style isn’t timeless by any means. When it comes to fashion investments, timeless pieces are the safest choice. Because it was under $50, I didn’t feel bad buying it, knowing I won’t probably wear it in a year or two.

Since the chain that comes with the bag looks very cheap and flimsy, I’d rather not use it at all. Instead, it’s better to just carry the bag as a clutch. I loved styling it with just a pair of jeans and this Zara buttoned down shirt that I absolutely love! A simpler outfit will make the bag stand out more. I really wanted it to be the center of attention. An all black & stilettos look is also a killer with this bag!

I can’t wait for the weather to get even warmer because I’ve seen some pretty cute tasseled beachwear!

I hope you’re all having a great warm week wherever you are and see you on Friday with my March Favorites. Stay tuned…

XoXo,

Tamara

STUNNNAH. The whole outfit really works with the bag being front and center.
I told myself I would stick to neutrals for a while.. but this bag has me alll sorts of happy.

I have a girlfriend who has the coolest handbags, she started her brand a few years ago. Take a look, her vibe reminds me of this.

OMG!!!!! Thank you for bringing this brand to my life! I want everything she sells… so cool and unique!

I’m not usually flashy colors kinda gal, but this bag won me over so quickly. A pop of colors with neutrals can be stunning…

      XoXo,

      Tamara
