The Perfect Nude Nails

I can’t remember the last time I was wowed by a nail polish, most probably because this is the first time. This one is different though. I’m talking about the L’Oreal Colour Riche Collection Exclusive nail polish in shade “006 – Doutzen’s Nude”. I even posted a picture of it on Instgaram!

This beautiful nail polish collection has 6 different shades curated to flatter every skin tone. They range from a beige nude to a deeper taupe/purple colors. Each shade is both named after and color matched with the skin tone of a famous female celebrity. The Doutzen’s Nude, is Doutzen Kroes’s shade and just like her, it’s absolutely stunning.

The color is a beautiful taupe nude that is a nice twist on the traditional beige nude. Imagine a “your lips but better” lipstick shade for your nails though. Your nails but better? We can make it a thing… It’s an extremely feminine and classy color. Although it will look the most nude on olive & medium skin tones, I’m sure it will also suit practically all skin tones. I love wearing it as an every day no fuss nail polish. It’s the absolute ideal shade for low key, low maintenance nails.

The nail polish itself is of a great formula. It lasts decently well, much longer than Essie nail polishes in my opinion. Even when it starts to chip, it doesn’t look so nasty because it’s nude. It doesn’t streak at all and dries out pretty fast, which is perfect for a manicure quicky.

I have been looking for the prefect nude and I finally found my match. It is, without a doubt, my all time favorite nude nail polish (so far).

I have always admired nail art, but never really found them looking good on my shortish nails. After seeing this style on Pinterest, I was sure it will look good even on short nails! Using some scotch tape and the Formula X in the shade “Revved Up“, which is a beautiful rose gold shimmer, I managed to pull off decent looking nail art. The rose gold adds a little life to the nails and takes your manicure up to the next level.DSC04398

Now excuse me while I go to my local Walgreens to pick up a few more shades from the L’Oreal Color Rich Collection Exclusive. The shade “Jennifer’s Nude” looks superb online.

For a $5.99 a piece they’re an absolutely gem. Go and grab yourself one, or two shades! Why not the whole line?

What’s your favorite nude nail polish? Are you a nail art fan? let me know!!!

XoXo,

Tamara

I was never very good at doing my own nails so simple nail polish designs are the best. This color for this looks really good

I love this nude color! I always get so frustrated trying to find the perfect shade because they usually dry looking either too pink or too brown!

This one stays exactly the same color as when it’s first applied. You should check out this collection I’m pretty sure you’ll find what you’re looking for.
