Yesss it’s Thursday!
First of all, was the weather PMS-ing anywhere other than San Francisco this week? The start of the week was cold and extremely windy (like I need to be tied down to the floor or else I’ll fly away windy). And now the weekend is gonna be HOT! Weird…
A little life update: Next week is gonna be pretty chill, but the week after that is gonna be busy! I have a blogger event on the 12th, then on the 13th R & I are heading down to L.A. for a few days. The weather is much hotter in L.A., so I’m gonna be doing some summer shopping next week!
Anyway now to our topic at hand, beauty essentials to always have on your desk. I personally work from home, but I have my very own work space and desk (even though we live in a tiny apartment…). I guess that interior design degree finally came in handy! Whether you work from home or in a big company you should always keep the below items on or within reach of your desk:
First of all, pure rose water mist. Any kind of facial mist will do, but why pay $$$ when you can make your own for $?! I have tiny bottles of rose water on my desk, my night stand and purse. I use them all the time! It’s great for skin and smells amazing. If you feel like your skin needs a little pick me up during the day, just spray it all over your face baby!
My second must have item is a good lip balm. There’s nothing worse than chapped lips, so always have lip balm on your desk and keep applying every few hours.
Third, hand cream. I love this Soap & Glory Hand Food cream, it smells delicious, is moisturizing and your skin will absorb it fast. I hate when a cream makes my hands sticky for an hour… Get it in travel size for easy storage.
Forth, dry shampoo! I personally don’t have it in my desk drawer because I work from home, but if you work outside your house, you need this! If you’re going out for drinks after work, or didn’t have the time to wash your hair in the morning, spray some dry shampoo and your good to go!
Additionally, if you have oily skin blotting papers are your best friend. Always keep some in your drawer, and whenever you start feeling extra oily and shinny, just blot away! They’re so compact and useful, they’re an oily skin gal’s best friend!
These were my skin care essentials that I always have on my desk. Even though I do rotate the brands every once in a while, the products are usually the same.
What products do you always keep with you in your workspace? Let me know!
