Ever since I was a little girl, my summers were spent on the Mediterranean coast, swimming in the salty water and playing in the waves. Thankfully, when I moved to California a couple of years ago, we settled on the San Francisco peninsula near the water. Water, and seas and oceans specifically, are vital to me. I need to be able to take a short drive to soak my feet in the sand and breathe in the salty marine air.
As the days are getting warmer, spending the day at the beach is becoming my favorite pastime!
What I love more than a day at the beach is beach attire!
I’ve always adored embroidery, (remember this gorgeous Valentine’s day dress?), so when I saw this skirt I immediately fell in love with it. The length is extremely flattering on my shorter figure. Because it ends right above the ankles, it will help make you look taller. The embroidery is my favorite part of this skirt. The colors and patterns are eye catching but in a very subtle way. It puts out beautiful Spanish vibes!
Beach bags are just the funnest, don’t you think? Pom Poms and tassels are this season’s biggest trend (remember this gorgeous clutch?). There’s something very summery about them. What I love most about this beach bag is that you can easily carry it for a non-beach day too. Maybe to the farmer’s market or even on a holiday exploring a new cities? It’s such a multifunctional bag, perfect for a vacation.
The white cut out crop top is a little too risqué for every day, but perfect for the beach! The cutout details are beautiful and helps reducing fabric, which is perfect for a hot day. To add a little color to this rather white outfit, I threw on some pink shades, blue tassels bracelets and my favorite blue studded sandals.
What’s your favorite way to spend a hot summery day? Are you a beach or mountain person?
Have a great start of the week everyone and see you with a new post this Wednesday!
