Over the long weekend, the Mr & I drove down to one of our favorite beach cities, San Diego. Before arriving in SD for what turned out to be a weekend full of fun, we made a one night stop in Los Angeles to meet up with some friends.
Even though the eccentric Venice beach is only a few feet away, Abbot Kinney is definitely more refined. It’s a charming little street. Filled with beautiful boutiques and hip restaurants it has quickly became my favorite spot when in L.A., especially because it has the best ice cream you’ll ever taste at Salt & Straw!
We arrived at the perfect time, the sun was starting to set, glittering at the end of the street over the Pacific. If you’ve ever visited California, especially in the summer and fall, you’ll definitely know that there’s a golden hour between 7 and 8 pm when everything turns in a beautiful hue. It’s the very best time to snap photos!
Not wanting to miss this opportunity, R hurried up and grabbed the camera and took a few photographs of this rather colorful outfit!
This oversized flowing dress is so light and airy, it can easily be worn in summer! I love the movement and how it hugs my silhouette with every step I take!
I’m pretty sure you’ve been seeing lace up sandals everywhere. What really drew me to this pair is not only their unique color, but also the metallic mirror like heels. Proenza Schouler’s newest collection is all about metallic heels, but if you can’t afford a pair from the brand, the high street is also offering more affordable options such these sandals.
Abbot Kinney is simply a must visit location when you’re in L.A. Grab a delicious cone of ice cream and head down to the beach to catch the sunset.
