Sunday Farmer’s Market

One of our all time favorite Sunday activities is going to our local farmer’s market. Filled with the freshest locally grown organic produce, it’s a chef’s paradise!IMG_2988

R & I are both cooking fanatics. For us, cooking is more of a passion than an obligation. Thus the farmer’s market is a tasty colorful playground for us to get lost in. It’s exciting to see what’s in season and plan our meals for the week accordingly.

Some people enjoy a brunch on a Sunday morning, where we enjoy picking the freshest and tastiest looking veggies. How lame, right?!

But when you are passionate about cooking you get equally passionate about what you’re cooking with! And by shopping at a farmer’s market not only ensures first dibs to the best local, organic produce, you’re also supporting small local businesses.

After getting our produce for the week, I always make sure to stop at a flowers booth. I can never resist fresh flowers, especially when they’re this gorgeous!

Not only they will brighten up any home, they’ll also fill the air of the most beautiful of scents. Trust me, no candle can match the smell of fresh flowers!

I love going to the market. Unfortunately we only have one in my town and it’s only twice a week so it’s not very often I have the time to go. However, I always love it when I do go! And going to markets are one of my favourite things to do when I travel as well.

    • August 1, 2016 / 12:25 pm

It’s the best thing going to markets abroad. I remember I visited one when I was in Thailand and it was absolutely amazing!
