Every year, tens of vintage car owners get together and show off their most treasured possessions at our local park. It’s becoming somewhat of a tradition for R & I to attend the annual Cars In The Park event. Ever since we first attended the event about 2 years ago we try not to miss it.
Even if you’re like me and aren’t particularly into cars, I’m sure you’ll still appreciate the beauty and history behind these babies… Decades old, these little machines still hold their charm!
Some of these cars are passed down from generation to generation, others are new possessions and there’s even a few on sale if you fancy some vintage cruising.
R & I start imagining the stories and memories from each one. We try to visualize the eras where the cars were commonplace, so long ago. Our favorite cars are the big vintage black “gangster” cars. Our minds run wild every time we see one. We immediately begin fabricating stories and adventure… Let’s just say we have a fairly vivid imagination!
Even though you’re not allowed to get in them, you can still take a peek inside and admire the stunning leather and hand stitched details!
Are any fun events happening at your local park this summer? How are you spending your weekends?
