Color Block – Blue & Yellow Edition

I’m writing to you from Los Angeles today. I’m currently in between meetings sipping my coffee in a gorgeous DT L.A. loft! If you follow me on Snapchat @loveofmode (PS: follow me quick if you wanna see Kim K & Sheryl Crow) you know by now that I’m here for a few days attending the Blogher conference. I’m so excited to be able to be a part of such an amazing event and community.

I’m already planning upcoming posts about how to be fully prepared for a conference, what to wear etc… but for now I’m keeping it simple with this color block outfit.

As I’ve mentioned here, pleats are making a big come back. I loved my pleated culottes so much, that I decided to get a pleated skirt too! Even though the color is very bold, it’s on the warmer end of the spectrum.

I’m definitely committed to soak up every last bit of summer, but I’m also starting to think about fall clothing. This mustardy yellow skirt will be a great transition piece in the fall, paired with a cashmere sweater, and cute flats.

Blue and yellow are one of my most loved color combinations; they just compliment each other so beautifully. I didn’t notice at first but the Mr. pointed out that I look like Belle in this outfit. I guess that’s why I like this color combo so much!IMG_3079

Skirt Zara, Top Zara, Shoes Topshop

Color block is definitely something I’m not used to, but as I said before I’m embracing new fashion challenges each day. Not only am I maturing, but my fashion sense is as well!

Tomorrow will be the last day of the conference and on Sunday R & I are driving back home. Two weeks ago we were in Las Vegas, this week in L.A. so needless to say we’re looking forward to go back to our home and our usual routine. Summer is still not over yet, and there’s still so much for us to do, but for a few days we will be staying home, cooking home made meals and just recharging for the upcoming adventures!

Let me know you’re plans for the rest of summer ’16. Are you planning anything exciting?

`XoXo,

Tamara

That is indeed a bold colour scheme to go for! I don’t think I’d personally ever step out and wear something like this, but you’re rockin’ it and I like it. xx

That’s what I love about fashion, it’s personal, some might like something others don’t and that’s completely fine! Thank you for your honest opinion, I really appreciate it!

Now this is colorblocking done right, girlie! You look stunning! Have just come across your blog one of the fellow blogger’s comment section 🙂 Also, what I love about this pic is the colors you chose. Since I am originally from Ukraine (living in England with my Irish hubby lol) blue and yellow mean so much to me (national flag colors). Gorgeous look, lovely!

I love these two colors together (I also went to UCLA so this is totally my color scheme). The pleats are beautiful and I love the style of the blouse. I hope you enjoyed the conference! xoxo, Christine

I love that blue and it pairs so nicely with the mustardy yellow.
I don’t have any big plans for the rest of the summer, but I’ll spend a few days in Tuscany, which is always nice.
