Yes, even I have finally admitted that summer is sadly coming to an end. All signs have been pointing to this transition, but I’ve chosen to ignore them, up until now that is. This copper colored dress, is a somewhat of a compromise. Despite the fact that the color screams Fall, the sleeveless cut is an ode to a my favorite season.Pieces like these are a great way to prepare your wardrobe, and yourself, for this seasonal transition. Even though I’m not the biggest fan of the easy-to-wrinkle fabric, this copper dress is both light enough for late summer and thick enough for fall.
The waist belt detail is a great way to accentuate your waist and break the monotony of the dress. The high side slit takes the dress from conservative chic to sophisticated seduction.
I’m all about transitional pieces at the moment. Thick sweaters and heavy cardigans still seem a little too much for this beautiful weather, but light items in a deeper and warmer color is just perfect.
Have you started your fall shopping yet or are you still clinging to summer like me?
