There’s a reason why Hawaii is called the rainbow state. I have never seen so many rich, intense, vibrant rainbows. It seems there were rainbows anywhere we looked, filling the sky with the most beautiful colors.
On our last day on the island, we rented a car and took a mini road trip to the north shore. It was rainy most of the way, with glimpses of sunlight here and there, which created the perfect conditions for the most awe inducing rainbows.
After a beautiful drive along the coast, we eventually found ourselves in a hidden little beach where we stopped for a quick picnic lunch.
Rain in Hawaii is so gentle. It lands like a tender refreshing kiss on your warm skin. It definitely won’t interrupt your activities, even if you’re planing on taking a dip in the ocean. As a matter of fact, swimming in the warm clear waters while it’s raining was a moment I’ll never forget…
So if you’re in Hawaii, make sure to always look up… chances are you’ll definitely catch a rainbow or two!
