A Traditional Luau Night

One of the musts when visiting any part of Hawaii, is taking part of a Luau. If you’re not familiar with it, a Luau is a Hawaiian party / feast that includes traditional food and dancing. Love of Mode Luau Hilton Waikiki

On our final night on the island, R & I dressed up and headed to the Hilton Hotel for a night full of fun, entertainment and culture.

Dancers took center stage as they whisked us away with their moves to another universe. They interpreted Polynesia’s facisinating history through a series of different dance styles, with sheer talent.

Dressed in traditional attire, the woman were so graceful and constantly smiling, while men showed off their dominance and ruggedness. Form hula to oeta dancing, each set was more mesmerizing than the other. But the best was definitely kept for last.

The men came rushing to the stage with their flaming torches. Demanding everyone’s attention and taking our breath away.img_5663

In the darkness of the night their torches lit the space like a bright shining sun.img_5666

It was truly an unforgettable fun night. We got to know the Polynesian culture and history while being magically entertained. If you find yourself in Hawaii, make sure to take part in a Luau!

I’ve never been to Hawaii before, but my mom has and has shown me photos of her Luau experience and it looks like so much fun, as your photos show here, too! I agree, if you’re going to visit Hawaii, this is a must see, but I never knew they educate you on this history and culture, too, this makes me want to take part even more! Thanks for sharing and you look absolutely gorgeous in that dress and I love those blue shoes! Have a wonderful week ahead, beauty!

Great photos. I love your dress and shoes. So pretty. 🙂 I haven’t been to Hawaii yet. I was hoping that when I moved to California that it would be cheaper because it’s closer, but it’s actually more expensive than flying from the east coast of Canada. lol Isn’t that crazy? I can’t wait to go and see something like this in person.

Beach hair baby! lol! I didn’t touch my hair (except for showering) the whole trip. No blow dry, no curling iron and my hair just loved it!
