Happy Women’s Day

To all the women in my life, and women everywhere, a very happy women’s day!

Being a woman, unfortunately, is still hard even in 2017. We still have a lot to fight for to prove that there’s no weaker sex. Over time, women have proven, that they are as capable as any man. From biology to math, to physics to sports, we have proven ourselves over and over.

I want to take this moment not just to celebrate our womanhood, but also to encourage you to break the stereotypes the society has imposed on us. Teach the young women in your life that they should dream big. Let them dream about being a successful woman before marriage. Let them dream of travel before dreaming of love. Let them know that they are capable of anything and everything. Teach them how amazing a woman is, and how hard it can be as well.

Being a woman is not easy for sure. As I grow older I’m finding out more and more how challenging it really is. Growing up in a conservative, male-dominated society, I knew from a young age that I didn’t belong. I believed that I should be considered equal and couldn’t accept anything less. If I ever have a daughter, I’m going to make sure that she knows that.

Despite it being 2017, we still need to fight for our rights. We shouldn’t stand still while men are deciding our future. WE SHOULD UNITE!

To all the kick ass women all over the world, thank you and a very happy women’s day!

XoXo,

Tamara

This is such a beautiful post, girlie; Happy International Women’s Day! You’re so right, we are capable of so much and have accomplished and proven just how capable we are throughout the years and we do, unfortunately, still have so much to prove. I think now more than ever voices are being heard and the community of women are stronger than ever thanks to social media advancements and the connections it’s allowed for. Thanks so much for sharing, beauty, and I hope you’re having the most amazing week so far!

Happy Women’s Day! I’m two days late but oh well. I totally agree with everything in this post- women will keep on fighting, even if it means we have to prove ourselves over and over. We can still break that glass ceiling!

    Happy belated women’s day.
I can totally relate to the society topic. Here is Egypt women have to dream about marriage first and then being successful, my relative says that being married to a successful man is more important to being successful yourself which is something really wrong. I always tell them that if a successful man liked me without being successful myself then this man only wants a trophy wife, not a WIFE.
PS. I like your bun Tamara, it is so pretty.
