With the rise of straight leg, boyfriend & mom jeans’ popularity, skinny jeans have taken a step back. Although the Asos Farleigh slim jeans (last seen here) have almost become a daily staple of mine, I still love, buy & wear skinny jeans.
Coming into the winter months, this style of jeans is a no brainer. The tight fit is perfect for seamless and comfortable wear under boots. You can tuck them into the tightest, highest boots with no trouble. Plus, they look great with chunky knits and oversized sweaters. And, they double as leggings as well. It’s almost impossible to wear wider legs bottoms with boots that come anywhere higher than your ankles. So they’re a definite winter must!
Additionally, skinny jeans always look elegant. There’s just something about the tight fit, hugging the curves of the body that makes these jeans sexy while staying elegant. Whether you like to dress them up or down, every woman needs a good pair of skinny jeans.
To stay trendy while wearing them, opt for skinny jeans with a rather interesting hemline. Distressed maybe, or even beaded. Luckily both of these details are easily achievable, at home, with an old pair of jeans. If you don’t feel like buying a new pair, find an old pair of skinny jeans in your closet and cut the hemline. Put it in the wash and you immediately get the distressed effect. If you have basic needle and thread knowledge you can add some pearls or other beads to take it to the next level.
Skinny jeans are definitely not over yet.
