When it comes to luxury fashion it’s definitely a tricky subject. Some find it ridiculous and absolutely unjustifiable. For others, it’s a treat or sometimes even an investment. If you’ve watched my first luxury bag unboxing video, you know that I’m new to the luxury fashion world. It wasn’t until very recently that I started to dip my feet into it.
Because it’s hard to justify the price tag, I really take my time and do my research before every purchase. Personally, I tend to choose iconic, timeless pieces rather than trendy items. I stick to basic solid colors that are going to style well with lots of different options.
Another crucial detail is to make sure that whatever I’m purchasing, is going to pair well with my wardrobe and that I’m going to be wearing it over and over again.
Buying luxury key pieces is a great way to elevate your wardrobe. Although this belt has been overhyped, I believe it’s a great way to upgrade your style without spending thousands of dollars. A bold piece such this belt is statement enough on its own. Even when styling it with affordable pieces it will still make an impact.
When mixing high end with affordable fashion, you would want the high-end piece to be the center of attention. Keep everything else simple, and a little understated. Make the luxury item the center of your look, and work around it.
This Lulus oversized cardigan is the coziest and softest thing ever. Being petite, it can look a little overwhelming on my figure. A trick I always do for oversized clothing is adding a belt. Whether it’s a sweater dress or a cardigan, in this case, a belt helps cinch in your waist and define your figure. Although any belt would’ve done the job, this Gucci belt took this whole outfit from simple to chic.
If you’re thinking of starting a luxury designer collection but don’t want to spend thousands of dollars, a belt is the way to go. It’s relatively affordable, compared to other luxury pieces, and it’s such a statement that it will elevate your outfits.
