My nighttime routine doesn’t end in my bathroom, in front of the mirror. Right before sleeping, there are a few products that I like to use, and that I keep next to me on my bedside table.
Although there is no scientific evidence of its effectiveness, I personally using a jade roller, especially in the morning. As it helps with depuffing the under eyes and refreshes the face with its natural cool temperature, I skip it before bed. In the morning though, before rolling out of bed, I use it all over my face and focus on the under eye area to help depuff it.
Ever since we moved to Toronto, my skin has been drier than ever. So every night before going to bed, I slather a hand cream on my hands so I can wake up with smooth well-moisturized hands in the morning. I picked up this Gourmand hand cream from Urban Outfitters recently and have been loving it so far. The scent is light and not overwhelming, so it won’t interrupt my sleep schedule. It’s definitely though a slightly “greasier” formula that doesn’t get absorbed by the skin quickly. For that, I wouldn’t recommend using it during the day, but at night it’s great!
There are two things that you’ll find in every bag I have, every room in the house and in the car: hair ties and lip balms. Before going to bed, to ensure that I wake up with smooth lips, I make sure to coat them with a rich lip balm before bed. I have been using Skinfix lip blams for a while now and I absolutely love them! Unlike other waxy lip balms that will just coat the lips with a wax film, Skinfix lip balms have 40% coconut oil in them. Coconut oil is a great moisturizer in general, and on the lips, it’s just magical!
I usually finish my skincare and then sit in bed for an extra hour or so. By that time, I know all the products I used on my face are well absorbed by my skin. But before turning the lights down and sleeping I spritz my face gently with the Caudalie Beauty Elixir one last time, to add an extra boost of hydration to my face. Also, its gentle smell reminds me of a spa and just relaxes me.
