When it comes to fashion, although I love a good trend, I tend to stick to the basics most of the time. My style, as probably know, is rather minimalistic, so I tend to lean on accessories to elevate my everyday looks.

As I’m growing older, I have found myself wanting to invest in high-quality accessories, that are going to stand the test of time and are going to take me season after season, year after year. Investing in designer accessories is not only a love for fashion kind of thing, it is also an investment into an everlasting wardrobe I’m trying to build.

The power of accessories is big and sometimes forgotten. When thinking about designer goods, our minds tend to immediately wander to the thousands of dollars bags and completely forget about those more affordable entry-level accessories, that are as powerful as a designer bag. A simple outfit from the high-street, like the one I’m wearing below, can be effortlessly elevated with a simple Saint Laurent brooch, a Burberry scarf, or a pair of Celine sunglasses. All under the $500 mark but just as impactful as a couple of thousand of dollars handbag.

Chloe sneakers, Burberry scarf, Givenchy sunglasses

Another area most of us neglect when it comes to the designer category, is the entry-level designers, such as Elleme, Ganni, Marc Jacobs, Tory Burch… etc. These brands offer a more approachable price point than YSL, Prada, Bottega Veneta. The lower price point doesn’t reflect at all a lower quality in their pieces. For most big brand designers, you mostly paying for the name, but because entry-level brands haven’t established their names in the fashion scenes as well just yet, you’re only paying for the high-quality craftsmanship.

Recently I was kindly gifted this gorgeous Elleme bag from Farfetch, and I was immediately blown away by it. The leather is as soft as my YSL & Prada bags, the metals are as heavy and it just feels and looks like a much more expensive bag. The unique design and gorgeous leather is what’s going to make it a piece that’s going to elevate my outfits.

Fafetch has a plethora of entry-level brands such as Elleme for you to choose from but also offers a wide area of high-level designers as well, so there’s truly something for everyone. They also kindly gave me a 10% off code to share with you: TAMARA10 to use on your full purchase of CAD200 and more ( find T&Cs below)

The color is what drew me to this bag the most and of course the moc-croc leather effect as well, so chic!

Yes! My YSL brooch can make an affordable sweater look like it’s high end. Glad you agree.
