As we all (should) know, October is breast cancer awareness month. Almost everyone who’s reading this has been affected by the gruesomeness of cancer in some way or another. Personally, I have both lost some family members to cancer and was lucky enough to have a few survivors too.
Breast cancer is a serious issue that should be always discussed, not just during this month. Although the fatality rate is decreasing, early detection is crucial.

As women, we tend to make everyone else our priority. Sometimes that means our health takes a backseat. To best take care of others we need to first take care of ourselves.
An at home breast cancer self exam is a small but easy step that takes only a few minutes and can help with early detection. Here’s a link with a step by step guide of how to self examine yourself. Please, click it and take a few moments out of your day to follow the steps. Even if you’re in you early twenties, it’s never too early nor too late. And make sure to share this with all women the in your life.

Tamara

Lovely post! QV Skincare have released a new cream to help women remember to regularly self check, and it includes guidelines on what to look for, I think it is such a useful tool to raise awareness and can help some woman get an earlier diagnosis if they are able to tell when something changes!
