Lets not beat around the bush, work attire is often a dilemma for many people. Torn between fashionable and appropriate, things can get easily frustrating. Staying on trend sometimes can be hard while trying to maintain a professional look. Thankfully, ruffles are both fashionable and sophisticated.
Opt for dark colors
Depending on your job, work spaces can be limited and restricted. Choosing dark colors like these black pants I’m wearing, is a great way to stay in the limits, while jazzing things up a little. Darker shades are often more “grounded” and sophisticated, which make them great for a work place environment.
Stay modest
While off the shoulder and cold shoulder tops are all the rage now, they’re definitely not work appropriate (for most work places). This stripped top is modest with the long sleeves and high neckline, but definitely not boring. Pick your battles when it comes to work-appropriate clothing, especially if you work somewhere more conservative like a bank.
Keep your accessories simple
One of my favorite fashion quotes is by Coco Chanel (of course): “simplicity is the keynote of all true elegance”. It’s a motto that I live by. Even if you’re not a minimalist in general, when it comes to business attire; less is always more. So if you’re wearing something a little daring like ruffles, make them the center of attention. Don’t clash them with large eye catching accessories. Keep them simple and complimentary to the look.

Well…and I think not all work places are created equally.
Your outfit would be perfect especially for a creative work environment!!
But even in a more conservative office, you could switch out the trousers, and throw a blazer over that shirt and voila!!

I agree about keeping the accessories as simple as possible as the ruffles make quite the statement themselves. You look amazing!
