The Spring Shoe Edition

Boots now tucked away deep the closet, it’s time for cute spring shoes… And I couldn’t be happier. I’ve never really been a fan of boots, I much prefer sandals. This year, the Spring shoe trends haven’t changed much from last year’s. Mules and loafers were the hot items of last spring and are still going strong this year.

Gucci kinda made this trend as big as it is now, and since then high end and affordable brands have adopted this trend. If you’re looking to splurge Gucci is the place to go, for more affordable options, Revolve, Topshop, Zara and Forever 21 have their own styles.

Thanks to Gucci, another big trend this Spring is pearl embellished shoes. Gucci is the shoe God at the moment. Whatever style this brand releases immediately becomes popular. Like loafers, pearl embellished shoes became trendy thanks to Gucci. But also, like the loafers, you can find some great affordable options as well. This Topshop pair looks even more beautiful and pricey in person. You can easily mistake this for a Gucci pair! And for $48 that’s an absolute bargain. I would recommend going for a half of a size smaller than your usual size as they’re slightly loose. If you’re a little more adventurous, they also come in a metallic silver too!

The last “it” Spring shoe of this season are platforms. We’ve all seen them (or bought them) last Spring/Summer and this year they’re still as hot. They’re cute, easy to style and comfortable while giving you some extra height! Bring out your favorite pair and rock them all spring long.

    Luckily more affordable brands are following the Gucci’s trends as well so it is easier to get your hands on some stylish pieces. Pears trend is beautiful and your shoes look really nice!

    Yes Gucci did make this a big trend. I love the slip on version. I tried a pair on at Steve Madden that were more or less a copy but with an embroidered flower on the shoe, so cool. I almost but bought them but hesitated as already spent enough money but may go back and get them.
