The Best Midi Dress For Petites

Midi dresses and skirts have made a comeback on the fashion scene over the last few years. Being petite, I’ve shied away from this trend fearing that it won’t suit my small figure. Finally, I have found the perfect midi dress for my size.

Midi length, in general, makes the legs appear shorter, therefore they’re not ideal for smaller figures. But there’s this magic length that ends in the middle of the lower part of the leg, between the knee and ankle, that works greatly for Petites!

That’s why I absolutely fell in love with this dress. It ends right at that point. It doesn’t overwhelm my figure, nor make me look tinier than I am. The quenched waist and tighter bust are flattering for the figure and balance the loose skirt. Also, the fact that it has pockets pretty much sold me!

Lately, I have been really enjoying white dresses and tops. My wardrobe has been overtaken by this color (or lack of color). Although this dress comes in a few different shades, I couldn’t resist it in white. The contrast of the big brown buttons against the white linen is just so beautiful. Just keep in mind, this dress creases very easily… But that won’t stop me from wearing it.

Like any other fashion trend, anyone can rock a midi dress if it’s the right one for their figure. The key to achieving a flawless look isn’t by wearing nice pieces. One has to know what suits her/him and dress accordingly.

I know exactly what you mean, Tamara! I’m short too—but I’m so glad I tried some of these long skirts & dresses—they can work if we find the right ones!

Thank you for this post! I find midi dresses to be tricky because I am petite so this is super helpful.

That dress is so beautiful! I love the clean design, the color and the length, my favorite kind! And that little scarf is just such a nice detail! 😀
