French Girls’ Ultimate Accessory: The Beret

This Fall, hats seem to have become the hottest accessory to wear. I’ve talked about how trendy the baker boy hat is currently, but it’s not the only trendy hat out there. The beret is another style you should be rocking this season.

My love for berets is not new. I remember wearing them in my teenage years when I started experimenting with fashion. They always add a french vibe to the outfit, no matter how you wear them. Personally, I’m not a big fan of wearing them the traditional (and proper) way, but rather like a beanie. Still, they exude style and sophistication.

Because of their non-rigid structure and the multiple ways you can wear them, they’re universally flattering. Depending on your face shape you can wear them the proper way, slouched to the side, or pulled back like a beanie, or even pulled to the front… Find a style that frames your face best and rock it.

Berets are definitely one of the easiest tricks to elevate a simple basic look, effortlessly. Whether it’s a popping color, animal print, covered in pearls, or hoops, they take an everyday plain outfit and make it on trend. They are very versatile and can be worn to the office or university even.

So if you haven’t added a beret to your fall style, you should quickly change that!
