If you know me well, you know that I love shooting on film with old school cameras. Everything from the actual shooting, to developing and even the waiting process, feels somehow romantic to me. Back in the day, we used to have to wait for our pictures to be developed to see the results. We would get excited every time we see those photographs emerge from the blank film and we would cherish them more than we do with digital photos nowadays. Although I love the idea and process of film, unfortunately at this time and age they have become time consuming and inconvenient.
Luckily with Relonch, I was able to get that film camera feeling with a digital twist. After booking my camera of choice (a bright green one to pop against my planned outfits) I visited the Relonch Club to pick it up. I was invited to a little intro session where I got familiar with the camera and what Relonch is all about. Luckily, it was as easy as can be. With only one button and preconfigured settings, getting high-quality pictures has become simple! Relonch provides you with a camera for free, and even helps you get the most out of your pictures with easy to follow tips on the app. You pay $1 for each picture you choose to keep. The pictures you select come processed and ready to be posted online or printed!
Unlike other DSLR cameras, there’s no screen on the Relonch cameras. You can only see the pictures you’ve taken in the app. There, you choose what to keep and what to delete. That way you truly live in the moment. It’s not about the perfect picture, it’s about a moment, a feeling…
Excited to try the Relonch camera, R & I set off on a day trip taking advantage of the beautiful weather.

Just like tourists, we drove to the edge of the Presidio to enjoy the beautiful Golden Gate Bridge glistening under the Fall sun. It’s a view that never gets old.

We sat there, enjoying our Sunday lazily… We took a few snaps here and there before it was lunchtime. We decided to try a new Ramen joint called Kaiju Eats not too far from where we were. The menus, handwritten, were nothing like we’ve seen before…

The food seemed a little out there and unique, it was definitely intriguing. Being the couple of foodies that we are we wanted to try everything.

We started with some garlic edamame, followed by some grilled skewers.

But I was just craving that big hot bowl of ramen. As soon as it arrived, I immediately dove in, slurping those delicious noodles. It was glorious… I mean look at my face, it says it all! Rob loves that picture because it truly captures both my hunger and my happiness at the same time. Looking back at it I will always remember and almost taste that great ramen bowl!

Not a drop left in our bowls, it was time for some ice cream. Salt & Straw, has finally arrived in San Francisco and I couldn’t be happier. The new monthly flavors had just rolled in, all inspired by Thanksgiving dinner. We tried them all, some made with sweet potatoes, others with gravy and others with crispy turkey skin. They had our eyes popping for sure!

We strolled Filmore street while enjoying our delicious ice cream before we called it off for the day and headed back home.

All the time I was taking pictures with Relonch, I made sure not to check the app. Instead later that night, in bed, R & I went through the pictures, remembering the day and laughing at my hangry face…

So before you’re next trip, make sure to book a camera here with Relonch to capture those unforgettable moments!
Thanking you Relonch for sponsoring this post.
