Brands On My Radar: Holland Cooper

This year in specific, I learned to find joy in the smallest victories of life. Finding a new clothing brand, that immediately makes my heart flutter is definitely one of these small victories.

After hearing about Holland Cooper online, I went to their website one afternoon and decided to make a purchase of a couple of things, as “research” materials for my blog/Instagram and Youtube. Unfortunately, this task pegged to be quite more challenging than imagined. Choosing just a couple of things rather than adding every single item from their website to my cart was as difficult as choosing your favorite cheese. The brand style is a classic quintessentially British, equestrian-esque, style with a touch of luxury and modernity. The fits and colors of their clothing are mostly timeless, making them a brand that transcends through time and trends.

Eventually, I decided to go for pieces that work perfectly together and separately as well, for colors that fit perfectly in my wardrobe, and for styles that can take me through many upcoming years. The result was an autumnal outfit of dreams.

I chose the black buttoned knit roll neck because it’s a timeless and classic design with a slight edge. The shiny gold buttons not only elevate the knit but also add such a beautiful contrast and a touch of warmth to the black fabric. I went true to size and the fit is perfect. Worn alone or layered under a blazer or a cardigan this piece is going to be a pillar in my fall/winter wardrobe for years to come. As my wardrobe consists of mostly minimalist classic pieces, I’m always on the lookout for those timeless pieces that have a slight design detail that makes them a little more unique and elevated. This black roll neck ticks all these buttons.

As for the Knightsbridge skirt, it was love at first sight. Although I ended up choosing the camel color, I secretly wanted it in every color and pattern available. If you’re in between sizes or are not a fan of figure-hugging clothing then I recommend going a size up. I went true to size and the skirt hugs my figure so beautifully while cinching in my waist and giving me an hourglass figure. The skirt is made of wool so it’s thick and perfect for the colder Toronto days. Unlike the black knit, the buttons on this skirt are rather rustic looking and not as shiny, giving it a slight vintagy feel. The beauty of the skirt is that is also quite versatile. Although I styled here in a more dressed up way, you can definitely dressed it down a little more casually with a chunkier knit and some flat boots for a more casual feel. Take a look at my video where I unboxed these items to get an idea of how to dressed it casually as well. But also, keep an eye out for my future content as you’ll be seeing me wear these pieces a lot in the upmcong few weeks over my Youtube channel and Instagram.

Wearing this outfit made me feel instantly put together and chic. What differentiates brands such as Holland Cooper from highstreet brands is the fit and feel of the garments. Although you can probably find these fabrics for much cheaper, it’s the small design elements and amazing cuts that sets them apart. The term “fits like a glove” is made for such brands.

As a first impression, I’m extremely impressed with the Holland Cooper brand. From the fast shipping (less than 48hrs), to the luxurious packaging and of course the high quality pieces, Holland Cooper is a brand that needs to be on your radar, if it’s not already. Although I have only tried a couple of their items, I’m confident I will be a longterm customer of Holland Cooper. Their jackets and coats are definitely next on my wishlist!
